Working in Germany
Want to Work in Germany?
In late 2023, a new law was enacted to facilitate worker immigration to Germany due to high labor demand across many sectors.
This demand is particularly high in nursing, skilled trades (Handwerker), retail, and logistics.
Germany offers diverse opportunities for both local and international workers. As one of the world's largest economies and a hub for industry, technology, and research, Germany boasts a dynamic labor market with rapidly growing sectors.
The 'Chancenkarte' (opportunity card) allows non-EU workers to seek jobs directly in Germany for up to one year.
Requirements to Obtain the Opportunity Card:
- Recognized as a specialist in a field legally recognized in Germany, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree equivalent to German standards
- Proof of financial means to cover living expenses during the job search through a blocked account (Sperrkonto)—minimum of €1,027 per month or €12,324 per year or approximately 220 million IDR per year
- A Goethe certificate at A2 level and an English certificate at C1 level.
